Comcast recently announced the latest suite of recipients in its Comcast RISE program, and will be accepting applications for the next cohort through Oct. 17.
The program is designed to support small businesses owned by people of color, which have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It recently announced 1,100 recipients, including 26 in Connecticut, and has named 4,700 awardees to date. Comcast RISE intends to support 13,000 small businesses by the end of 2022.
Comcast RISE helps promote minority-owned businesses by providing benefits such as advertising and marketing consultations, media campaigns, and technology upgrades. Recipients also receive access to Ureeka, an online entrepreneurial networking community.
