Connecticut’s Department of Labor and Hartford Athletic, a professional soccer team based in Connecticut, are teaming up to introduce the first annual Veterans and Diversity Hiring Expo.
The event will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 7 at Dillon Stadium in Hartford. The expo is free and open to any job applicants, with a special focus on the underemployed, those seeking new career opportunities, those whose careers were impacted by COVID-19, veterans, people of color, women, and disabled workers.
- The expo currently includes 40 organizations with diverse hiring opportunities
- Registrants will receive educational opportunities such as assistance with their resumes and interview strategies
- All attendees also get a free ticket to the Hartford Athletic Veterans and Military Appreciation Night match against Louisville City FC, which will follow the expo at 7 p.m.
