- Annual award program honors Connecticut women who are studying or working in STEM fields
- Nominations open through April 9
- Eligible candidates should demonstrate leadership qualities and have served as a mentor
The Women of Innovation program is honoring Connecticut women who study and work in STEM fields, and is currently accepting nominees for awards to be given out later this year.
Now in its 17th year, the program is a collaboration between the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology and the Connecticut Technology Council. The program works to build on an existing network of more than 800 women throughout the state who specialize in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Awards will be given out for innovation and leadership in 10 different areas, including community, entrepreneurialism, research, small and medium-sized business, and large business. Winners will also be chosen for youth, collegiate, secondary academic, and postsecondary academic students, as well as an award for inspiring equitability, diversity, and inclusivity in the STEM field.
The deadline for submissions is April 9.
In addition to the awards, the Women in Innovation program has launched a new monthly webinar series taking place on the third Tuesday of each month. This series features speakers from the network of women who have previously been honored by the program.
