CTNext Accepting Applications for 2021 Mentor Network Cohort

  • CTNext looking for early stage ventures to connect with mentors for its 2021 program
  • Mentors provide guidance for three to four months, but can continue advising after the end of the program
  • Application deadline originally set at Jan. 29, but has been extended to Feb. 5

CTNext is looking for applicants for its 2021 Mentor Network Company Cohort, which matches early stage ventures with experienced entrepreneurs, executives, and investors to offer guidance on company growth.

The original deadline for application was Jan. 29, but CTNext has extended it to Feb. 5. There is no charge to participate.

Applicants should already have a product or service available or in testing, and their business should be producing revenue. They should also have a strong and diverse management team, represent an investable industry, and have reached a threshold for growth.

Entrepreneurs selected for the program are matched with mentors who can evaluate their long-term plans, help them find customers and acquire customers, and offer advice on a wide range of topics, such as connecting them to other business professionals or pointing them to helpful resources. Past participants have said the program has provided them with expert advice that helps guide their business strategy, including whether to pivot. Mentors remain available to participating entrepreneurs after the program ends.

CTNext is also accepting applications for professionals who are interested in joining the program as mentors. Qualified applicants should have startup experience as a founder, investor, or leadership team member. They should also have prior mentoring experience, not plan on selling services to startup companies, be willing to commit at least one hour per week over three or four months to assist the entrepreneur they’re paired with, and have relevant leadership, functional, or industry experience.

Any mentors selected for the program will be provided with training and guidance on the program by CT Next, which will also instruct them on their tracking and scheduling platform.
