Summary by Dirk Langeveld
A program to pair recent college graduates with innovative Connecticut employers has extended its deadline, giving potential applicants more time submit their information and employers more time to participate in the program.
The Governor’s Innovation Fellowship, a CTNext program, will accept applications through Dec. 15 for its spring 2022 cohort. The program began in 2019 in Stamford with a successful pilot that included 18 graduates, and was subsequently expanded statewide.
The Governor’s Innovation Fellowship is open to college students who have or will graduate in 2021, or who are on track to graduate in 2022. Those in the cohort are paired with a growth-track position in a Connecticut company, a $5,000 grant, and enrollment in a career development experience program.
CTNext has partnered with businesses specializing in areas such as bioscience and pharmaceuticals, medtech, fintech, data analytics, and advanced manufacturing to provide openings for graduates in the cohort.
