Economic Summit Set for Jan. 21 with Focus on Southeastern Connecticut

The growing submarine manufacturing industry in southeastern Connecticut will be a key focus of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s 2022 Economic Summit + Outlook, which will take place later this month.

The summit will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 21. The event has switched to a virtual gathering due to the significant increase in COVID-19 cases in Connecticut.

Kevin Graney, president of General Dynamics Electric Boat, will discuss the company’s plans to hire thousands of people to fulfill new Navy contracts and use collaborative partnerships to meet its workforce needs. The event will feature presentations from other business leaders and elected officials as well, including Governor Ned Lamont discussion his legislative agenda for 2022.

The 2022 Economic Summit + Outlook is free to CBIA members and $50 for non-members.
