Loan Program Launched for Minority and Women-Owned Businesses in New Haven, Naugatuck Valley

State and local leaders have announced the launch of a loan program to assist women- and minority-owned businesses in Ansonia, Derby, and New Haven that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program offers loans of up to $25,000 with a 4% interest rates to companies that employ 20 or fewer people. The loan draws on a pool of $1.5 million, and has 12 months of interest-only payments.

Officials say the loans will help cover any business expenses for companies that were in good standing with the Department of Revenue Services prior to the pandemic.
