Returning for its fourth year, the Citizens Bank Small Business Community Champion Award contest is inviting entrepreneurs in Connecticut and other areas served by the bank to apply for the $10,000 prizes.

The total prize pool is $300,000, with 10 prizes given out in each of three categories: minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses, and other businesses. Business owners must submit an application by 5 p.m. on March 1.

Business must have been in operation since at least Feb. 16, 2019, and cannot have already received funding through a previous Community Champion Award or Citizens Bank’s grant programs for minority-owned businesses or small business recovery.
