- University of Connecticut will begin accepting applications for its online MBA program this month
- Forty students will be accepted for inaugural program set to begin in August
- Three-year program offers education in one of four concentrations
The University of Connecticut School of Business is introducing an online MBA program, and will begin accepting applications later this month.
The school currently offers full-time and part-time MBA programs, as well as an Executive MBA program tailored to managers and others seeking leadership positions. Dean John A. Elliott said the addition of an online course recognizes that many students are looking for a more flexible option when pursuing their business education.
The online program will welcome its first 40 members in August, when courses will take place through synchronous meetings on Monday evenings. The program will have the same faculty as in-person programs, with extensive online support provided in areas such as career coaching, networking, academic advisement, and alumni mentorship.
Participants complete the program over the course of three years and can focus on the available concentrations of business analytics, management, digital marketing, or finance. Applicants must have at least two years of substantive work experience to be considered.
