Summary by Dirk Langeveld
As the COVID-19 pandemic forced many people to stay home, interest in home renovations quickly increased. With wallpaper becoming a popular option for giving a room a quick and easy transformation, the business review site Yelp is looking to use this trend to help promote and support small businesses.
Yelp is collaborating with the home decor brand Chasing Paper and illustrator Amanda Giuffre to debut three wallpaper prints highlighting 36 highly rated small businesses in New York City, San Francisco, and Austin, Texas. Ten percent of sales proceeds will benefit nonprofits that support local entrepreneurs and business communities through services like trainings and communal facilities.
Yelp is also offering to help cover the cost of installation for the first 30 purchases through a $500 gift card.
