Through its participation in the edX online learning platform, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology commits to improving education worldwide. MITx provides free courses, many of which use materials developed for MIT residential courses in the Institute’s five schools and 33 academic disciplines. Professional certification programs are also available.

Professional Certificate programs are series of courses designed by industry leaders and top universities to build and enhance critical professional skills needed to succeed in today’s most in-demand fields. Programs are designed to be flexible to allow students to proceed at their own pace.
