MassVentures is a strategic venture capital team that helps find, fund, and foster deep tech companies that are in their early stages. Deep tech comprises emerging technologies and industries such as advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, robotics, and quantum computing. MassVentures says it seeks to support this often overlooked sector to encourage economic growth throughout Massachusetts.

Venture Capital Investment

Seed investment and support for Massachusetts based deep tech startups.

Life Science Seed Fund

Individual investments of up to $250,000 in a convertible note will be awarded to life sciences start-ups; up to $1 million of capital investment is available.

SBIR Targeted Technologies (“START”) Program

The SBIR Targeted Technologies (START) program helps Massachusetts-based companies that have received SBIR and STTR contracts convert the research developed under this funding into businesses and jobs in Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Clean Energy Center Catalyst Grant Program

The Catalyst Program provides grants of up to $65,000 to researchers and early-stage companies looking to demonstrate initial prototypes of their clean energy technologies. This program seeks to advance innovation of clean energy technologies and help to transform new discoveries from the research stage into commercially viable technologies, through grant awards and business mentoring.
