If you’re a small business owner who has been contemplating whether to export your company’s products, this program is for you. The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, Connecticut Small Business Development Centers, and U.S. Department of Commerce host a free webinar on the Connecticut State Trade Expansion Program (STEP). This program, funded in part through a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration, provides small businesses with funds that can be used for export strategies such as training, translation services, compliance testing, and more.

The webinar offers an overview of STEP program guidelines, how to create a new account on the STEP application portal, eligibility requirements and the application process, and the reimbursement request procedure. The event is free, but registration is required.
