The Connecticut chapter of the American Institution of Architects works to encourage design excellence and high-quality architecture that supports communities and creates economic opportunity. The organization provides numerous educational opportunities as well as legislative advocacy, an annual convention and design expo, and networking and social events.

AIA Connecticut is the voice of the architectural profession, empowering its members to lead in service to society.

Education

AIA Connecticut offers multiple opportunities for continuing education throughout the year. These include a speakers’ bureau, building tours, presentations by renowned architects, and programs and events on topics such as design and historic preservation. AIA Connecticut is also part of the Connecticut Professionals’ Leadership Academy.

Resources

Resources available through AIA Connecticut include a directory of architects, an architecture license lookup tool, information on how to become an architect, and a jobs board.

Fellows Mentoring Program

This program connects architects with mentors who can meet one-on-one to share their experience and insights, as well as discuss any architectural topics or answer questions.
