A member-governed organization established in 1910, the Connecticut Retail Merchants Association works on behalf of the nearly 42,000 retail businesses in the state. CRMA relies on strength in numbers to support legislative initiatives as well as leverage buying power on merchant services.

Legislative Advocacy

CRMA has a dedicated lobbyist and annual legislative agenda focused solely on retail issues. This offers a full-time, concentrated approach to influence actions on legislation and regulation that can benefit retailers.

Member Benefits

CRMA members enjoy benefits such as discounts on electric and gas services, savings on insurance coverage, credit card processing, and a 401(k) program. “Friday Facts,” a weekly update, shares information on matters before the Connecticut legislature and other news from around the state.
