About

IDEA is a student-led venture accelerator that fosters the development of entrepreneurs in the Northeastern University community through the educational experience of developing a business from concept to launch. The accelerator provides support such as startup funding and concept testing.

Who’s it for?

For all Northeastern founders including undergraduates, graduate students, alumni, faculty, and staff

Mission

Provide a holistic experience for ventures through support, in-kind resources, and opportunities to engage in an experiential learning opportunity.

Resources & Services

Gap Fund

The IDEA Gap Fund is a $10,000 non-equity educational grant available to ventures in the Go stage of IDEA’s process.

Undergraduate Prototype Fund

The Prototype Fund is a resource to support builders and tinkerers to bring their ideas to life. This fund enables teams to quickly build, test and share their concepts by providing them prototyping support and up to $1,500 in funding.

Support Services

An entrepreneur-in-residence provides assistance to all ventures. Participants also receive access to resources such as mentors, business model guides, competitive analyses, and workshops.
