About

Established in 1920, the Motor Transport Association of Connecticut has evolved from an organization that represented freight haulers to one that advocates on behalf of any business that uses a commercial vehicle in its work, such as landscapers and plumbers. MTAC works to be a voice for these businesses on issues such as safety, environmental regulations, and safety.

Freight haulers or any companies that use commercial vehicles as part of their business.

MTAC is here to protect and promote the interests of the Connecticut Trucking Industry in whatever way we can. Whether it’s through legislation, information, or education, we are here to help you stay safe and on the road.

Resources & Services

Training Seminars

MTAC holds regular training seminars to keep members up to date on ever-changing issues affecting the trucking industry. Special class training, safety training, and other programs help keep members in compliance with current laws.

Member Benefits

MTAC members receive newsletters and other updates on legislative issues and other developments in the trucking industry. They can also receive log books, driver qualification files, and other essential documentation through MTAC, as well as discounts on supplies and seminars. MTAC oversees services to keep its members compliant with existing laws, such as insurance and drug/alcohol testing. Regular events offer an opportunity to network with other professionals.
