A network of labor leaders, innovators, and industry leaders, in partnership with the University of Connecticut, the NMC seeks to capitalize on the opportunity for the Thames River to be a new center of maritime technology due to increased submarine production and an emerging supply chain for offshore wind energy.

The Consortium promotes maritime innovation and supports the implementation of the new generation of technologies and cutting-edge solutions for maritime energy. Our network of local labor organizations, regional innovators, and industry leaders ensures that the New England maritime economy is positioned to improve products, reduce costs, and to develop the next generation of the maritime workforce.
