New England Regional Defense Industry Collaboration

  • A regional collaborative effort to coordinate the growth of defense-related industries
  • Seeks to bolster small and midsize businesses’ cybersecurity and to create a trusted network of small defense suppliers
  • The collaboration is still in development, but currently hosts webinars on cybersecurity

Created through a $1.5 million joint grant from the U.S. Department of Defense’s Office of Economic Adjustment, the New England Regional Defense Industry Collaboration (NERDIC) seeks to coordinate the growth of defense-related industries in the six states of New England. The primary goals of the initiative are to help small and midsize businesses meet the cybersecurity requirements necessary to participate in the defense industry supply chain, while also creating a trusted network for large defense contractors to find smaller suppliers.
