Newly established last year, the Main Street Working Group of the Connecticut General Assembly helps educate legislators on downtown revitalization issues and advocates for policies and programs friendly to downtowns. This facilitated discussion with the co-chairs of the group gives a look at the Main Street Working Group’s efforts.
About the presenters
Representatives Quentin Phipps is a former executive director of the Middletown Downtown Business District. Representative Jane Garibay is the former executive director of First Town Downtown, the nonprofit Main Street program for Windsor.
