About

Tech transfer leaders discuss how they helped start-ups access some of the $3.5 billion in annual Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) funding to transition university-based research. In this panel discussion, people will learn about the SBA funding support they received, the methods they used to help researchers establish companies and win SBIR/STTR funding, how universities can support SBIR/STTR programs, and the new Technical and Business Assistance Funding that provides $50,000 per SBIR/STTR Phase II award for costs associated with commercializing. It will also provide perspectives on leveraging SBIR/STTR through state matching funds and other partnership models.
