About
Originally launched in 1995 as a program of Connecticut Light & Power (now Eversource) to support the power company’s investments in downtown infrastructure, this organization has long been committed to revitalizing Connecticut’s commercial districts. In 2000, the Connecticut Main Street Center became a private nonprofit organization but retains the same goal of promoting economic development and improvements to the state’s main streets and downtowns.
Who’s it for?
Local, small businesses on ‘Main Street’, but CMSC also offers assistance across the state to help revitalize Main Street communities.
