A regional nonprofit economic development corporation, the Northeast CT Economic Alliance provides funding to small businesses that have been unable to secure financing through traditional sources. Since 1990, it has provided loans and business development resources to startup and existing businesses in a 21-town region.

Entrepreneurs and small businesses looking to establish or grow their business in Connecticut’s northeast region.


To facilitate economic growth, provide technical assistance and referrals, create and retain jobs, improve operations and foster educational activities which will enrich the long-term vitality of the region.

Resources & Services


Business loans offered through the Northeast CT Economic Alliance typically serve small and medium-sized companies with 50 or fewer companies. Loans are usually between $5,000 and $50,000, although the organization can structure larger loans as well.

Business Services

The Northeast CT Economic Alliance assists entrepreneurs by offering counseling and guidance, assisting with business plan development, and making referrals to other agencies and organizations that could provide assistance.
