About

Think of it as a Chamber of Commerce for the Arts. Launched in 2014, the Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition is made up of more than 500 businesses, a diverse cross section of arts, cultural and creative nonprofit and for-profit businesses, individuals, groups and organizations. The Cultural Coalition is one of nine Designated Regional Service Organizations for the Connecticut Office of the Arts/Department of Economic & Community Development.

Arts-based creatives, local businesses and entrepreneurs looking to network and collaborate.

Mission

The Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition’s mission is to improve the economy, vitality and quality of life in Southeastern Connecticut by supporting the arts, cultural and creative community.

Resources & Services

Resources

The Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition provides numerous resources, including information on cultural institutions, data and studies, and job opportunities for artists. The organization also serves as a legislative advocate for the arts community.

Programs and Projects

The Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition supports programs and projects to showcase the work of the region’s artist. Initiatives have included art displays at the Groton-New London Airport, presentations on art’s role in personal wellness, and young professionals and diversity initiatives.
