This business accelerator achieved rapid results in its first four years, raising more than $30 million, awarding over $260,000 in grants, and assisting 39 companies with expert mentors. In 2019, The Refinery expanded its offerings with services such as mentor networks, small grant programs, startup boot camps, and programs to help companies become more sustainable, diverse, and impactful.

Pitch Competitions

The Refinery’s annual “Fueling the Growth” competition invites entrepreneurs to present a pitch for a chance at tens of thousands of dollars in grant funding. The competition also offers an opportunity to improve one’s visibility and network with other professionals.

Mentors

The Refinery help connect entrepreneurs to expert mentors who can provide more insight on their goals and values, improving a business’s chance at success and growth. Topics covered include improving the business model, building a team, and developing financial outlooks.
