Vacant properties present an opportunity for developers to pursue redevelopment that can benefit communities, but they also come with major challenges. This webinar looks at the complex reasons why properties become “functionally obsolete,” how vacant properties impact communities, and issues such as master plans, historic preservation, parking strategies, and zoning and code correction.
The session explores redevelopment examples from Norwich, Pawcatuck, and Stonington. Certified planners who attend are eligible for one AICP CM credit.
